2. Playing with a Jira backlog
Launching the Add-on
- Access a page in Confluence or create a new one.
- Click below the title of your page and type "{Scrum" and then select the option Scrum Poker Estimates.
Setting up the game
- After selecting the Scrum Poker Estimates add-on, a modal will appear to start setting up the planning session.
- Enter a name for your backlog for the planning session, so other team members can identify the tasks being estimated.
- Then, you'll need to select how would you create tasks. You have to select the Import tasks from Jira option.
- Click on the Next button.
- Select the backlog you want to import to select your tasks for the planning session and click on Next.
- Select the tasks you want to include in your estimation session by clicking on the "+" of each task.
- You can review the tickets that you selected on the "Selected Tasks" tab. Click on Next to continue the process.
- Select the type of card set you want to use on your estimation session.
- Select the type of results you want for your estimations. Click on Insert to finish the setup of the macro.
- Click on Publish.
- You’ll see the list of tasks for your planning session.

Launching the session
Share the link of the Confluence page to your team members and ask them to click on Estimate Now button
You'll be prompted with the dashboard for the planning session.
Once you see all the players are ready to play a session, click on Let's play.

The dashboard is divided in three. In the left side you'll see the players in the session
And also the list of tasks you'll be estimating.
In the center of the dashboard, you can find your card set. Here you'll be able yo select your estimations.
In the right side, you'll see instantly the results of the estimations.
